The Anatarctica Expedition Beanie is a truly unique garment, and probably one of the warmest and most comfortable wooly hat on the market today. It was designed with true Svalbard conditions in mind.
It is based on the design of the regular Antarctica beanie. Except it is twice as thick and slightly longer. The two layers of fabric trap air in between, and will insulate your head like no other beanie can. It can also be folded back for extra protection on your ears.
The beanie is great for the bitterly cold days, and has been tested in the coldest parts of the planet. If you are on a longer expedition, this beanie will keep you warm at basecamp.
Made from the exceptional Merino/Possum/Silk blend. Luxuriously soft too !

Yann's tips and tricks: "I can guarantee you there is nothing else like this beanie on the market today. Since the start of Arctic Edge, this was the holy grail of beanies I was trying to achieve. This beanie has been with me on all my expeditions on Svalbard/ Greenland/ Antarctica for the past few years. When lying freezing in a tent or when taking breaks from snowmobile trips, I would take this beanie out. This is not to be used when you are very active, it will be too warm ! "

This garment is made using a luxurious blend of ZQ merino wool, New Zealand Brushtail Possum fibres, and Mulberry silk.
The ZQ merino wool is ethically sourced from free range sheep in New Zealand and Australia and is guaranteed non-mulesing. The Possum is a non-native, invasive animal to New Zealand and causes immense harm to the country’s natural flora and fauna. The fibres sourced are a by-product of the national eradication program.

I wanted a good hat for Antarctica. Arctic Edge was the only place I found with the word “ANTARCTICA” knitted into the hat making it perfect for my journey in Antarctica. I wear it all the time I’m outside. It’s well made and should last a long time. Fits well and looks awesome with goggles. Reads right folded over too. Very happy with this hat.
